How to design a website
Before you continue reading! I am not going to discuss code here or anything like that. In face, I am going to go a completely different direction with this. I want users reading this article today, “How to Design A Website” to understand that this article will cover rather, the key things required prior to designing a website, and the crucial process that should be deployed when you are ready to begin from the planning and research stage, to design, and finally coding and development of your website.
If you want to learn actual code, we have various blogs, and web design news sections that can show you how to do just that. But lets continue.
Before you design your website, you should have a checklist of things:
- First decide what your website is going to be about
- Then determine the bottom line of your website
- Next you need to plan out the sections and pages of your site
- Then you need to research designs and layouts (If you are a novice, don’t be shy to use a theme, for the seasoned pro, you need to create a wireframe or design of your project before you even touch a single line of code! This is important, and frankly not too many developers actually do this.)
- Decide what platform you will be using
- Decide what language you will need
- Decide on branding
- Do you have hosting for your website?
